Summer School of Polish Language, Literature and Culture, 3–24 August 2026

26-07-2026

For the 36th time, the University of Silesia in Katowice will host the Summer School of Polish Language, Literature and Culture. From 2 to 23 August 2026, Cieszyn and the University’s Microsoft Teams platform will once again become an international meeting place for people interested in the Polish language, as well as the culture, literature, and history of Poland.

For more than three decades, the Summer School has brought together students, academics, teachers, and enthusiasts of the Polish language from all over the world. This year, around 300 participants will take part (approximately half on-site and half online). 150 participants will come to Cieszyn from the United States, Brazil, Morocco, Egypt, South Korea, China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, and across Europe, while another 150 participants will join online from literally all over the world.

Thanks to financial support from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), participants will have the opportunity to improve their Polish language skills and take part in a wide range of educational and cultural activities prepared by the organisers.
