Adaptive Polish Language and Culture Course
The adaptive course, as its name suggests, is primarily intended to prepare participants for studying in Poland, so the emphasis will be on workshops, seminars and meetings that can facilitate their stay in Poland and academic integration.
The course is available in both classroom and remote formats and will take place from 31 August to 20 September 2026.

The classroom course will take place in Katowice. Participants will be accommodated at the Katowice-Ligota Student Residence Hall. Classes will be held in the building of the Faculty of Humanities in the centre of Katowice (ul. Uniwersytecka 4), with some activities also taking place on the premises of the academic campus.
The remote course will be held on the Teams platform.
The adaptive course (classroom and remote) will have the following general schedule:
- Monday-Friday: Polish language classes at various levels of proficiency, seminars and lectures on Polish culture, Polish literature and the specifics of the Polish language, Polish history, academic workshops on exam preparation and effective learning;
- Monday-Friday: integration events, meetings with Poles (students, including student council and research club members, representatives of the fields of science, business and politics), as well as representatives of institutions relevant to foreign students, e.g. the International Office, and students and graduates – foreigners who have been living in Poland for several years;
- Monday-Friday: outings and trips to the cinema or theatre, to interesting museums – Saturdays: trips outside Katowice, to notable sites in southern Poland;
- Participants will have the opportunity to take advantage of one-on-one language and organisational consultations.
For the remote course, the same forms of classes, workshops and other activities will be offered online, including virtual trips.
